I wanted to ask you for a special request for prayers for my cousin Enrique who has been battling with cancer for quite a while. My mom came to stay with me back in September at which time my cousin had been in remission. My cousin is like another son to my mom because my aunt (his mom) died at a very young age and my mom raised him when she died. He has several children (5 or maybe more) and his wife, he is in his late 40's so he is quite young.
We received a call from his kids on Wednesday telling us that he was not doing well and then received a call from my sister this Thursday telling me that he was sent home by the doctors who told the family there was nothing more they could do. I came home quite late on Thursday from work but was able to book a flight for my mom and got her off to Mexico at 3:30am on Friday. She should be home by now as the ride home left yesterday at 6:30pm from Texas and is about a 22 hr. drive. She went to see him with the hope that she may be able to help him somehow and that maybe he will get well (which is very slim because his kids did not know if he would be able to even make the 16 hour drive from El Paso where they had him).
Please pray for him that if it is God's will he will be strengthened and healed from his agony (for there is nothing impossible for God), but if that is not God's will that he will give strength to the family to accept his will.
