Winter Workshop 2012
by : February 6th, 2012
The workshop started out Friday night with Steve Johnson speaking to the campus, teen and singles ministries about being a fool for Christ. Not the kind of fool that tries to throw a stick of dynamite out of a closed window of a car, but the kind that believes in Jesus and takes a stand for him in their lives.
On Saturday, the men and women met for inspiring times of fellowship and lessons. Sunday we had Scott and Lynne Green of Seattle visit and Scott preached a lesson in the theme of the Seattle church for 2012: Love. Also during the Sunday service, Squire Silliman was awarded for his tireless service to the community in 2011. After the service, we got to enjoy each other's culinary expertise in the form of a congregational potluck. Thanks to Meka Hernandez for making sure that we had just the right assortment of food and getting the whole thing set up!
